Pedestrians Declare Emergency, Too

Late Tuesday night Spokane declared its third snow emergency in two weeks, with road crews focusing their attention on arterials. Many pedestrians however say the sidewalks around the city need an emergency declaration of their own.Gene Yoakum, who's disabled and is able to get around town only with the use of a motorized wheelchair, finds himself spinning his wheels. “Hopefully I’m not going to hell but if I did that’s what it’s kind of like, it’s a nightmare,” he said/Sally Showman, KXLY.
