Robbery Gives Reed Sense Of Deja Vu

I just talked with Scott "Sticky Fingers" Reed. Who's still enjoying the fallout from his near arrest at his Bank of America office building Dec. 23 when he was mistaken for a possible robber by 5 CPD Blues. And he also a bit more to the story. Seems he and Mary Lou were walking to the Olympia restaurant to eat yesterday when a half dozen police cars zoomed by and stopped at Washington Trust bank. Scott didn't know at the time that the bank on Lakeside had just been robbed. The octagenarian watched the officers fan out, from inside the restaurant. He told Huckleberries Online: "I decided not to go out and reintroduce myself." Also, he quipped, "I kept my walking cane out of sight. After all, the robber got away with the money without a gun. I guess it's possible to rob a bank with a walking cane."
