Sen. Clint Stennett, 54, RIP

Stennett, who served 20 years in the Idaho Legislature and a decade as Senate minority leader, had been fighting brain cancer since 2008. He died Thursday afternoon at his home in Ketchum, said Rep. Wendy Jaquet, D-Ketchum, Stennett's longtime colleague. Senate Minority Leader Kate Kelly of Boise, who succeeded Stennett afas minority leader, said of Stennett, "He was a tireless public servant who cared deeply about this state. He'll be profoundly missed in the Statehouse and in his community." Stennett was widely respected by Democrats and Republicans alike, in part because of his calm demeanor and careful study of issues/Dan Popkey, Idaho Statesman. More here.

Question: Any remembrances of former minority leader Stennett that you'd like to share?
