A Different Kind Of Bug

Bosnian Serb man Momir Bojic, 53, prepares to drive off, in his Volkswagen Beetle made out of oak wood on a street in Banja Luka, 240 kms northwest of Sarajevo, Bosnia, on Saturday. It took the owner a year to customize his old "Beetle" with oak wood and make it drivable. He occasionally drives his "wooden car" from his nearby hometown of Celinac, each time turning into a moving attraction on the Banja Luka streets. (AP Photo/Radivoje Pavicic)

DFO: I owned a red VW bug while attending college and later bought a yellow VW Rabbit when I moved to Kalispell, Mont., in summer 1977. The bug was gutless but served its purpose of cheap transportation for a college student well. The Rabbit was a lemon.

Question: Have you ever owned a Volkswagen vehicle?
