Letter: Don’t Print Raunchy Ads

On his Get Out! North Idaho Facebook page, OrangeTV posts a letter to the editor from LeeAnn Staples of Coeur d'Alene that he spotted in the Coeur d'Alene Press. It begins: "The ad that ran Thursday, Sept. 29, on the front of the Local section for the Kon Tiki bar is tasteless. I am a mother of three girls, and I will not have a newspaper in my house that supports advertisements with near-naked women. I know newspapers run ads for department stores with women in bras. However, this ad for the Kon Tiki takes it way beyond appropriate." More here. OrangeTV comments: "Every month or two, the CDA Press runs a letter from someone ticked off about the ads they constantly run for Stateline Showgirls/KonTiki lounge. Do they bother you terribly? Have you ever stopped in for a cocktail and a lap dance?"

Question: Do raunchy newspaper ads bother you?
