Gookin, Sayler Even in Fund-raising

In the race for Coeur d'Alene City Council seat No. 3, challenger Dan Gookin and former Idaho legislator George Sayler are running neck-and-neck in the amount of campaign funds raised to date. Gookin has raised $4383 and spend $328, while Sayler has raised $4253 and spent $180. Gookin's warchest includes a $2000 loan to himself. Top contributors include: Brent Reagan, $999; Kathy Sims, $500; and James Hollingsworth, $250. Sayler's top contributors are: Coeur d'Alene Indian Tribe, $1000; Art Flagan, $500; Anne Nesse, $300; Beverly Moss, $250; and Theresa Potts, Sid Smith, and Darilyn Dirksen, $200 each. None of the other candidates in this race -- Derec Aujay, Annastasia Somontes, and Pat "Mitch" Mitchell -- has raised or spent money. Sayler report here. And: Gookin report here.
