Idaho-Based Scentsy Adds Brand

Say you own a multi-million dollar direct sales company that sells wickless scented candles, bath products and chocolate fondue…what would you add next? Well, Meridian, Idaho-based Scentsy is diving into the handbags and accessories market. The company that launched in 2004 selling wickless scented candles has added a new brand to its growing business, and hired 120 additional corporate employees since March. Scentsy Inc. unveiled a line of handbags, accessories and jewelry under the new brand-name Grace Adele at its annual conference in Las Vegas last week. It added a chocolate fondue brand, Velata, in May. Scentsy’s revenue has ballooned from more than $60 million in 2008 to $535 million in 2011. Spokesman Stephanie Finch says Velata has netted $10 million in the last three months. Company-wide data wasn’t available for that same time period/Emilie Ritter Saunders, StateImpact. More here.

Question: We have Scentsy products around our home. How about you?
