CdA police investigate infant’s death
Coeur d’Alene Police are investigating the death Wednesday of a four-month-old baby boy.
The infant was found unconscious by his father at 2:55 p.m. at his home in the 1900 block of Appleway Avenue, Coeur d’Alene Police spokeswoman Sgt. Christie Wood said in a news release.
Medical personnel responded but were unsuccessful in efforts to resuscitate the baby.
Detectives have scheduled interviews today and an autopsy. Wood did not indicate whether the mother or any other family members would be part of the investigation.
”No further information will be released at this time,” she said in the release.
The department withheld the child’s name until all family members could be notified.
