9:20 a.m. Someone reportedly stole copper from an Avista location, knocking out power to 5600 customers. Avista has told authorities that the power should be out until 1 p.m. today. Not known if this theft also is affecting the traffic lights in H95 & NW Blvd.

  • 9:10 a.m. Firefighters are en route to report of blown transformer @ RV park on Blackwell Island.
  • 9:08 a.m. Patrol officer reports lights out @ I-90 & Appleway & at H95 & Neider/CdA.
  • 9:06 a.m. Dispatchers are getting reports that traffic lights are out @ N/W & I-90 & maybe elsewhere.
  • 9:04 a.m. Traffic lights are out @ H95 & Prairie & may be out in other places from Appleway to Prairie.
  • 8:59 a.m. Troublesome man returns to Phone Plus, 430 W. Hanley/CdA, & says he has a gun. But doesn't display gun or make any other threats. No attempt to hold up the business.
  • 8:38 a.m. Vehicle reported over the bank @ Hayden Lake & Hayden Creek roads. No injuries.
  • 8:33 a.m. Caller reports losing his prescription medications at Coeur d'Alene Casino.
