Legion Move Gets Edinger, Adams OK
In the pigs fly department, Huckleberries has learned that the General Services Committee voted 3-0 earlier today to move the American Legion Field from McEuen Field to Ramsey Park. The GSC voted for the move despite member Ron Edinger's oft-raised comment that the new field will not be "equal or better" than the current one in the picturesque setting on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Councilman Steve Adams, another adamant opponent of McEuen Field changes made the motion to support the memorandum of understanding that had been approved between the city and the American Legion Baseball Board. The final vote was 3-0 with General Services Committee Chairman Mike Kennedy providing the third vote. The matter now goes to the City Council for final approval. ALB President Janice Duman was in the audience when the vote was made.
