At 4:22 p.m. Monday, Coeur d Alene police and fire departments responded to a vehicle fire at La Rochelle & Tours in Coeur d'Alene Place.  When officers arrived, they found the vehicle in the middle of the road fully engulfed.  The streets were shut down for a short time due to safety reasons until the fire could be extinguished.  It appears the owner was driving the vehicle when it started to smoke. The driver exited the Volkswagon Bus as the fire started to spread.  It appears the Volkswagon Bus was a total loss. No injuries were reported.
