Joker to Phaedrus: Non-partisan races don’t exist

The debate continues on the Joker: Rich vs Rich thread. Joker had asked Amber Copeland if local Dems had reached out to her. She replied they had not.

Last night Phaedrus weighed in:"First, it's a non-partisan race, the Dems don't get involved. Never have.
Why should they, has she ever attended a Democratic function? Volunteered?"

To which Joker replied: "First, non-partisan races don't exist anymore. If the Dems don't recognize that anymore, they're dumber than I thought. Talk about lazy reasoning. The Dems should be recruiting people, not waiting for them to show up at their doorstep. It's like a guy who wants a girlfriend but refuses to move from his parent's basement. He won't use the phone or the internet to meet any women. The Dems need to get off their butts and talk to people like Amber. She might have bigger ambitions -- perhaps the state legislature. It wouldn't hurt to get to know somebody who clearly could be a part of their party. They also might want to check out Amy Evans, who has made pro-Obama comments on social media. Just saying, the Dems can't wait for people to show up and volunteer. They need to do some actual work, gasp."

Do you agree with Joker? Should local Dems become active"non-partisan" races like local Repubs?
