Feds Seek Wolverine Protection

This July 2007 image provided by the Wildlife Conservation Society shows a female wolverine and her cubs taken in the Gravelly Range of southwest Montana. Wolverines need deep mountain snows to survive, but the government said Friday that anticipated warming temperatures in coming decades will shrink their habitat, putting the species in danger of extinction.
