Seahawks, Sounders Visit Slide Area

Blitz, the Seattle Seahawks NFL football mascot, gives a high five, Monday at a community gathering in Darrington, Wash. Players from the Seahawks and MLS Soccer Seattle Sounders FC visited Darrington to lend support to the town, which is located near the site of the deadly mudslide that hit the community of Oso, Wash. on March 22. Story here. (AP Photo: Ted S. Warren)

Also: A friend of Cindy's who was in Darrington last night posts: "They had a program for the children and some play equipment they brought for outdoors. Then they served a lasagna dinner prepared by the Seahawks chef. We got to see a Super Bowl ring. They were great!!"
