Helen: Idaho Can’t Handle Fed Lands

Helen Newton (RE: Lands transfer comes with big cost): "If Idaho owned all of the federal land the state would quickly find it could not afford it and would begin selling it off - to, guess who - wealthy people from outside Idaho. Then all of that federal land -- currently owned by all of us -- would be owned by a few and we would no longer have access to it and the state would quickly spend the proceeds and we would be in one heck of a mess. Worst Idaho ever!"
