McEuen Field At Taco Bell Park?

Marc Stewart (RE: McEuen Park will have donor wall): This story is a not so subtle reminder that our country’s corporatization continues. We’re worrying about naming rights to a public park? Seriously. McEuen Field brought to you by Taco Bell. Make a run for jungle gym! Is McEuen’s sheltered parking structure going to be called, the Les Schwab parking garage? The Panhandle Parks Foundation wants to build a donor wall and I believe it doesn’t fit in McEuen or should I say, the Time Warner Park. I doubt you will see little Timmy saying, “Daddy, daddy, can we go to the park? I want to see the donor wall.” The reasoning for the wall is raise money for maintenance and land acquisitions. How nice. I would suggest taxpayer dollars are used to serve those needs. I don't like that corporations (which are now people by the way) get to pollute our public spaces. If you really want to do a donor wall, why not list every single taxpayer in Coeur d'Alene? Don't we all deserve a thank you?

Question: I wonder how many heads would explode if the city decided to sell naming rights to McEuen Park?
