Lifeguards Returning To City Beach

One of the area’s most popular beaches will have lifeguards on duty beginning Monday. They will staff the beach seven days a week through Monday, August 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fourteen lifeguards will be employed by the city. “We’re excited to have lifeguards out for the summer,” said Coeur d’Alene recreation director Steve Anthony. “It’s one of the nicer waterfront places in the area and we’re expecting a busy season.” Citizens planning large group activities are advised to contact City Beach at 769-2258 so staffing adjustments can be made.
