On The Waterfront — 6.20.19

At North Idaho College today, I saw street crews busy re-surfacing the street that runs in front of the SUB/Christianson Gym. Nearby, I noticed that construction workers are almost finished with the four condos at East Lakeshore/Military Drive -- the ones that caused such a furor when proposed in the historic Fortgrounds area. A worker told me that they are suppose to be finished by July 1. There were some sun bathers at City Beach, despite overcast skies, and more children were at Fort Sherman Playground in City Park than yesterday. However, there were still far more children using the new playground and splash pad at McEuen Park. I noticed that the old space for Java on Sherman had customers hanging out at tables but there was no line coming out the door as there was in the Java days. I didn't notice a name of the new business on the marquee. At 1 o'clock, meanwhile, Hudson's Hamburgers, was standing-room only per usual.

Question: Has anyone visited the new Java in the old Jonesy's building yet? What do you think of it?
