"If you commute across the prairie on Hayden Avenue or Prairie Avenue," posts Councilwoman KerriT on her Facebook wall, "watch for several places where there is water over the road. I took this photo mid-day on Hayden Avenue, just west of Hwy. 41 where the eastbound lane is submerged."

  • 4:41 p.m. City of Post Falls Facebook: Temporary closure of Ross Point Road from Pinevilla to Maplewood due to water over the road. Closure anticipated to be several hours until standing water dissipates.
  • 4:13 p.m. Officers arrest possible car thief in UHaul/Appleway Car Wash area. (3:52 item).
  • 4:06 p.m. Girlfriend of possible car thief is walking toward Kootenai Health (3:52 item).
  • 4:03 p.m. Idaho H&W told to try to detain girlfriend of possible car thief through "frivolous means" until an officer can get there (3:52 item). She's filling out request form for food stamps.
  • 3:56 p.m. Officer asks for ambulance, reporting 18YO male (3:52 item) is bleeding from nose after beating.
  • 3:52 p.m. Fight reported at Stub Meyer Park/Rathdrum.
  • 3:43 p.m. Silver BMW is speeding, tailgating @ n/b H41/MP 6, before turning east on Boekel/Rathdrum.
  • 3:41 p.m. Auto thief (3:38 item) has run across I-90 and jumped fence into UHaul back lot. Stolen Pontiac recovered.
  • 3:38 p.m. CPD officer reports vehicle theft suspect bolted front Pontiac along Ironwood Drive & ran toward Outback Steakhouse. Officer recognized male, reporting he has a tear-drop tattoo and is wearing a multi-color hoodie.
  • 3:09 p.m. Deputy asks that part of Atlas be closed, too, due to flooding.
  • 3:06 p.m. Motorist stranded on flooded Prairie Avenue, between Huetter and Atlas. Deputy asks that Post Falls Highway District be told about flood waters over the road, so it can fix the problem.
  • 2:45 p.m. Someone may be suffering a stroke @ 4700 Troy/CdA.
  • 1:43 p.m. CPD officer en route to check vehicle theft @ 600 block of Best Avenue/CdA.
  • 1:29 p.m. Suicidal female tells family by phone that she's hiding under a vehicle in Post Falls.
  • 1:19 p.m. Suspicious vehicle parked along Hauser Lake Road, unknown exact location.
