Poll: 62% Don’t Trust Feds

A week before Election Day, more than six in 10 likely voters, 62 percent, say they do not trust the federal government to do the right thing, according to a new poll. Republicans edge Democrats, 42 to 37 percent, as the party likely voters trust to do a better job handling the main issues facing the country over the next few fears, according to the ABC News/Washington Post poll, released Tuesday. The GOP is preferred among independents by a 17-point margin for the midterms, though both parties show strong support among their base – 92 percent of Democrats and 96 percent of Republicans plan to vote for candidates who share their party affiliation/The Hill. More here.

Question: Do you trust the federal government to do the right thing?
