1 Year Ago: NIC Sports Switch

On Feb. 26, 2014: Long-time supporters of North Idaho College's athletics programs were still up in arms about the announcement a week earlier that most college sports were moving to the lesser Northwest Athletic Association for Community Colleges. The move was to deal with a budget shortfall. At the time, the Coeur d'Alene Press quoted long-time booster Jack McNeel, who strongly opposed the move. Quoth Jack: "It makes me so mad, I can hardly even talk about it." More here.

Question: It appears that everything's moving along re: the switch. Obviously, some remain unhappy. But it appears today that there's no going back to the more prestigious National Junior College Athletic Association. Thoughts?
