Wanted: City Enforcement

A commenter writes: "If the city administrators were really concerned about the safety of people crossing Mullan Ave, they would spend $20 on red paint, mark the curb between the two no parking signs with the paint and then heavily enforce it for all of those people who will park illegally between those two signs this weekend. If nobody parks there, oncoming drivers have great sight lines at the crossing. If the idiots are allowed to park there, pedestrians will be at risk. As you can see in the age from an hour ago, the signs are already being ignored."

DFO: I just crossed that section during my noon walk along the waterfront. You definitely have to peek your head around park cars to make sure approaching vehicles on four-lane Mullan Avenue see you. I'm surprised people don't get hit at the crosswalk more often.
