Pachyderms Hear Risch, Gabriel

Photo Set: Duane Rasmussen took several photos at the North Idaho Pachyderm Club breakfast at IHOP this morning. Guest speakers were U.S. Sen. Jim Risch, R-Idaho, and Fire Chief Kenny Gabriel and Finance Director Troy Tymesen.

"There were a lot of people at the North Idaho Pachyderm Club early-morning weekly meeting.  The parking lot was full," reports Duane Rasmussen. "Senator Risch spoke first.  The fire chief (Kenny Gabriel) accompanied by Dan Gookin and the city finance director Troy Tymesen spoke last, for about fifteen minutes, on the public safety bond.  Risch was questioned about immigration.  Senator Risch said we are getting Syrians in Idaho, and they are legal immigrants.  He also said that there is concern about anyone joining ISIS and then returning to this country.  He was not able to give details because much of the information he knows is classified.  Apparently there is a real concern."
