CPD, coroner ID burned body

Coeur d’Alene Police Detectives and the Kootenai County Coroner’s office have identified the victim in the fire at Potlatch Hill on Thursday as Robert Wayne Parkinson, 56. Autopsy results are preliminary. It appears to be an accidental fire and accidental death due to fire. Fire investigators discovered several ignition sources in his sleeping area. There were candles, small propane cylinders, matches, and a lantern that contributed to the scope of the fire. No foul play is suspected/Sgt. Christie Wood, Coeur d'Alene Police Department.
