GOPanel: Toss transgender directive

Some Idaho Republican Party convention delegates say the state's top elected officials should reject the Obama administration's directive on bathroom access for transgender students in public schools. The directive tells public schools nationwide to let transgender students use the bathrooms and locker rooms that match the student's gender identity. According to a resolution that cleared a convention committee Friday, Idaho public schools would be directed not to implement the new directive while the state's constitutional officers develop a coordinated rejection response. There was no discussion on the possible consequences if such actions were to actually take place, such as the potential loss of millions in federal funding. The same committee also rejected a resolution denouncing bigotry, racism and xenophobiaAssociated Press. More here.
