The directive tells public schools nationwide to let transgender students use the bathrooms and locker rooms that match the student's gender identity. According to a resolution that cleared a convention committee Friday, Idaho public schools would be directed not to implement the new directive while the state's constitutional officers develop a coordinated rejection response.
