Gfeller to debate Banducci

The Associated Students of North Idaho College are holding a forum for NIC trustee candidates from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, in the Edminster Student Union Building Lake Coeur d’Alene Room. The forum is free and open to the public.

The forum will consist of opening/closing statements and timed-answers to questions gathered beforehand from students. A portion of the student-run forum will be open for questions from the audience delivered by the student moderators.

Trustees serve four-year terms on the five-member board. The election will be held Nov. 8.

For Zone 3, incumbent Todd Banducci, of Post Falls, is running against Greg Gfeller, of Post Falls. Banducci and Gfeller are in the only trustee race that is contested. Both candidates have indicated they plan to attend the forum.

Incumbents Judith (Judy) Centa Meyer, of Hayden, is running unopposed for Zone 4, and Brad Murray, of Rathdrum, is running unopposed for Zone 5. Meyer and Murray have both indicated they plan to attend the forum.

There will be a student-only discussion held after the event. Refreshments will be served/Tom Greene, NIC Press Room.
