Amador, Dems work on debate

Republican Paul Amador emails Huckleberries:

"I just wanted to let you know that I have been working with the Democratic Club to get in front of them for a forum/debate prior to the election. Contrary to what some may perceive, I do respect the opportunity to present myself as a candidate to all groups and was not intentionally avoiding a debate. While I was unable to attend the date first requested by the Democratic club due to a work conflict, it appears that we are going to have a debate at the next luncheon on October 28th at Iron Horse.

"Because no 'nonpartisan' community group organized a debate for District 4 candidates this election cycle I have asked as gesture of bipartisan cooperation that the debate be co-moderated by someone from the Democratic club as well as a local respected Republican. At a time in which it seems there is not much opportunity to work together on anything related to politics, I appreciate that the Democratic club is willing to host this event as well as allow Republican involvement in the moderating of the debate, which will create a balanced and fair experience for both candidates.

"We will have more details on the debate soon."

DFO: Good for Paul. I wish other Republican candidates (Barbieri and Redman were as willing to follow suit).
