Labrador wants to honor Killebrew

Idaho 1st District GOP Rep. Raul Labrador has introduced legislation to name the U.S. Post Office in Payette after Harmon Killebrew, the legendary baseball player and Payette native who died in 2011.

Killebrew, who was named Idaho’s greatest athlete by Sports Illustrated and who was the American League’s most valuable player in 1969 when he hit 49 home runs, also built a reputation as a philanthropist, raising money for cancer research and for sports fields for kids with disabilities/Betsy Russell, Eye on Boise. More here.

Question: Do you remember Harmon Killebrew?
