Poll: Time for vote-by-mail

  • Wednesday Poll: A plurality of Hucks Nation said it's time for the state to institute vote-by-mail, in the wake of the dismal voter turnout in the nonpartisan local elections Tuesday. 75 of 157 respondents (47.77%) said the state could boost voter turnout by adopting a vote-by-mail approach to voting, as the neighboring states of Washington and Oregon do. 34 (21.66%) said the nonpartisan spring elections should be combined with the nonpartisan November elections to boost turnout. 30 (19.11%) said the nonpartisan spring elections should be combined with the highly partisan even year general elections to boost turnout. 15 (9.55%) said the nonpartisan spring elections should be left alone. And 3 (1.91%) were undecided.
  • Today's Poll: Should Coeur d'Alene allow vendors to anchor floating aquatic play platforms off its beaches?
