COUGARSThe Pac-10 coaches' women's basketball picks were released today and there were no surprises. Stanford was picked to win, Arizona State second and Washington State 10th. The Cougars were a near-unanimous choice for the cellar.

Morrison lost for the season
Former Gonzaga forward Adam Morrison is probably out for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, according to this Charlotte Observer story. Morrison was injured Saturday in an exhibition game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Spokane Shock announced today that OL Ryan Belcher has re-signed for the 2008 season. DL Derron Ware, 6-foot-4, 217 pounds, and FB Ken Williams, 5-10 286, have also been assigned to the Shock.
