A village boy looks on as he holds a rice bag he received from a government distribution centre at Lalgarh in west Midnapore 175 kilometers (109 miles) west of Calcutta, India, Monday, June 22, 2009. A large band of armed rebels moved into the Lalgarh region, in West Bengal state, earlier this week, driving out poorly armed local police and seizing control of villages following which authorities sent hundreds of soldiers to try to reclaim the area. The Indian government on Monday banned the rebel group.
