Pac-10 Baseball Honor To Gu’s Morgan

Gonzaga University junior right fielder Scott Morgan is the Pacific-10 Conference North baseball player of the week.

Morgan went 9-for-29 (.310) in seven games during the week with 10 runs, six RBIs, a double, three home runs and a .655 slugging percentage.

He had two solo home runs to give GU a 6-5 win over Washington State in the first game of a doubleheader last Wednesday, and his two-run homer in Saturday’s first game at the University of Washington sparked a four-run sixth inning in the Bulldogs’ 5-0 win.

Morgan, who got a late start on the baseball season because of the Bulldogs’ appearance in the NCAA basketball tournament, is hitting .317 and is second on the team in home runs with five.
