Liberty School Board Names New Superintendent

The Liberty School Board picked a replacement for retiring Superintendent Armin Vogt.

Donn Livoni, 48, will begin work July 1.

The board selected Livoni from 39 applicants after a monthlong review.

He currently is an assistant superintendent in the Tonasket School District in Okanogan County.

Livoni’s salary still is being negotiated.

Vogt decided to retire this year after working in the district for 33 years, including stints as a teacher and principal.

Liberty serves 730 students, from kindergarten through 12th grade, in southern Spokane County.
