Little’s Crash Costs First

Compiled From Wire Services

First-place finisher Johnny Benson, driving a Chevrolet, inherited the lead 12 laps from the finish when leader Chad Little of Spokane crashed after tangling with the lapped car of Kevin Lepage at the NASCAR Busch Grand National at Hickory Motor Speedway. Little had led for 165 laps prior to the incident on lap 288.

“That was really tough luck for Chad,” said Benson, the series points leader. “We had a second-place car today, because Chad clearly had the best car.”

Little settled for 23rd place and took home $7,620.
