Aspen Cancels World Cup

Aspen Skiing Co., which has played host to more ski races than any other American resort since the World Cup was organized in 1967, announced it would not stage its traditional America’s downhill races next March.

A change in marketing direction for Aspen Skiing Co. prompted the resort to pass on its annual World Cup visit, executives told U.S. Skiing.
