Five Soldiers Killed In Helicopter Crash

Five U.S. Army soldiers were killed when a twin-rotor CH-47D Chinook helicopter on a post-maintenance test flight came apart in the air and crashed in a central Texas pasture Monday, officials and witnesses said.

Construction workers who saw the mishap said the aircraft fell to the ground in several pieces, scattering the bodies of the crew members.
