Radioshack, Ibm Plan Joint Campaign

From Staff Reports

Consumer electronics retailer RadioShack initiated a new marketing campaign and said it plans to sell IBM’s Aptiva desktop and ThinkPad notebook computers and software.

IBM and RadioShack said Tuesday they will launch a joint advertising campaign that includes a direct-mail effort using RadioShack’s 65-million customer name file.

In addition, RadioShack will provide repairs on IBM computer products, whether or not they are covered by a warranty.
