Compiled From Wire Services

Beth Daniel shot a 68 to move alone into first place by two strokes after two rounds of the $450,000 LPGA PING-Welch’s Championship.

Daniel finished the day at 11-under-par 133, while Colleen Walker moved into second with a 68 for 135.

Jane Geddes, who shared the first-round lead with Daniel, lost her putting touch and fell to a 71 to drop into a tie with Meg Mallon at 136. Mallon had her second 68.

Robin Walton of Clarkston shot a 75 for a 147 and failed to make the cut while Tracy Hanson of Rathdrum, Idaho, shot a 74 for 147 and also missed the cut.

Gibby Gilbert and Graham Marsh overcame a string of rain delays, shooting 8-under-par 64s to share the first-round lead in the Burnet Senior Classic.

Gilbert eagled the par-4, 365-yard fourth hole, holing his second shot from about 100 yards, and had a 7-under 29 on Bunker Hills’ front nine. Marsh, 4-under on the back nine, drew even with an eagle on the 535-yard 18th hole after hitting his 3-wood approach to 5 feet.
