Three Hospitalized Following Collision

From Staff And Wire Reports

Three people were listed in fair condition Sunday at Kootenai Medical Center, a day after they were in a two-car crash north of Coeur d’Alene.

They were: Alyce R. Marshall, 21, of Coeur d’Alene; Danny L. Anderson, 21, of Spokane; and Brian E. Lauer, 19, of Otis Orchards, Wash.

Anderson’s 1994 Ford Escort was eastbound on Prairie Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. Anderson ran a stop sign at McGuire Road, according to the Idaho State Police. Anderson drove around a pickup truck that had stopped at the stop sign, the ISP said.

Marshall, meanwhile, was driving her blue 1993 Toyota Tercel southbound on McGuire.

Anderson broadsided Marshall’s car in the intersection.

Lauer was riding in Anderson’s car. Two other passengers, one in each car, were taken to Kootenai Medical Center, treated and released.
