North Idaho School Districts Post Registration Schedules

Teachers and administrators are returning to area schools, preparing for the coming year.

Some students and parents may need to visit schools for registration or other before-school arrangements. Here’s a list of some school registration schedules:

Sandpoint High School registration for seniors is Aug. 23; juniors Aug. 24; sophomores Aug. 25; freshmen Aug. 28. All new students can register Aug. 29 and 30. Register from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., except for lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

New students should call the counseling office at 263-3034 to make an appointment. Bring immunization records, birth certificate and the mailing address of your last school.

Other Bonner County Schools register from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. beginning on Aug. 28, except for Farmin/Stidwell Elementary and Priest Lake Elementary. Those two schools start registering on Aug. 30. Most schools have registration for two or three days. The first day of school is Sept. 5.

At Post Falls High, new students can register in the cafeteria at these times: freshmen and sophomores at 10 a.m. Aug. 22; juniors and seniors at 10 a.m. Aug. 23. Pre-registered students can pick up their schedules at these times: seniors from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 29; juniors from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 29; sophomores from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 30; and freshmen from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 30.

New Post Falls elementary students can register from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 23 or 24 at the appropriate school. Kindergarten students can register at the “KinderCenter” (the old Frederick Post Elementary School) from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 23 and 24. School starts on Sept. 7 for kindergarten students, and on Sept. 5 at all other schools.

Lakeland schools are holding early registration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 28, noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 29 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 30. The last chance to register is Sept. 1. Students registering late will be counted absent every day they are late.

Classes begin on Sept. 5. Mid-day kindergarten busing will not start until Sept. 11.

Junior high and high school students must pay a $10 book deposit when they register. Other fees are also charged for certain classes, such as art, photography and physical education.

Ramsey Elementary School in Coeur d’Alene has all-school registration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 24.

At all schools, new students must provide proof of identity and a birth date, and immunization records. A child registering in kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1. First-graders must be 6 years old.
