At&T; Discounts Some Domestic Rates

AT&T Corp. is discounting a wide variety of calls made in the United States, including long-distance service over regular and cellular phones and service using calling cards.

AT&T announced the latest shot in the battle over long-distance customers Monday. Spokesman Dan Lawler said the new plan, dubbed True Reach Savings, had taken effect on Friday.

Customers who spend $25 or more a month on a variety of longdistance calls and services within the United States get a 25 percent discount on them. Customers who spend between $10 and $25 a month receive a 10 percent discount.
