Spokane Man Arrested In Rape

A 31-year-old Spokane man was arrested Saturday in connection with the rape and kidnapping of a woman earlier that day, according to a police report.

Elory S. Johnson was arrested about 7 p.m. at a club on West Sprague, police said.

The woman, 19, told police that a man she had known for a few months showed up at her apartment early Saturday.

When she asked him to leave, the man grabbed her and choked her, police said. The woman said he removed her clothes, wrapped her in a blanket and threatened her with an 8-inch knife if she resisted, police said.

The man then took her to his home in the 1100 block of East 32nd Avenue where he raped her, police said. He then drove her back to her apartment, where she called police.
