North Idaho College (6-10 Scenic West, 14-14 overall) meets Dixie (11-5, 23-5) at 7:30 p.m. at Christianson Gym.

NIC’s women (6-10, 10-15) face Dixie (12-4, 18-4) at 5:30.

NIC has lost 14 games this season, but only Dixie truly embarrassed the Cards when it defeated NIC 125-84 on Dec. 10. Dixie center Sonny “Watson dunked on the first play,” NIC coach Rolly Williams recalls. “For us, that was probably the high point of the game.” The Rebels feature Northern Arizona transfer Chancellor Davis at point guard (8.2 assists), acrobatic Kevin Simpson at wing (21 points), 6-foot-10 Utah transfer Jason Jackman (14 points) and 6-9 Watson (4.1 blocks).

Like the men, the Cardinal women are jockeying for favorable regional tournament seeding. NIC could finish sixth, seventh or eighth.
