Recreational Boat Fatals At Record Low

Recreational boating deaths declined to 784 last year, a record low, the Coast Guard reported Thursday.

While the number of fatalities was down 16 from 1993, the number of accidents increased by 571 to 6,906 the agency said in releasing its annual statistical report on boating.
