Marguerite Eberle Tonasket, Wash.

Graveside service for Marguerite L. Eberle, 84, is set for 11 a.m. today at the Tonasket Cemetery. Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Eberle, who died Saturday, was born in Spokane

She graduated from Latah High School in 1929.

She and her husband, Ted Eberle, lived on wheat farms in Lovell Valley, Idaho, and then Rosalia, Wash. They owned a cattle ranch near Tonasket, which they operated from 1950 until he died in 1984.

Mrs. Eberle then moved to Tonasket and lived the past few years in the North Valley Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Okanogan County Cowbelles, Wauconda Country Club, and the Tonasket Senior Citizens.

She is survived by two sons, Marvin Eberle of Dillingham, Alaska, and Doug Eberle of Federal Way, Wash.; two daughters, Norma Jean Hart and Marilyn Corey, both of Tonasket; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Gerhard Englert Rathdrum

Service for Gerhard “Gary” Englert, 61, will be at 2 p.m. today at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Englert, who was born in Germany, died Friday.

He served an apprenticeship as a tool and die maker in Germany and then lived in Australia and Canada. He moved to the Coeur d’Alene area in 1964.

He married Helga Thien in 1961. He was divorced in 1965.

Mr. Englert was a master tool and die maker for the Clare-Pendar General Instruments Corp. in Spokane for 20 years. In 1985 he went to work for Kim Hotstart Co. in Spokane.

He enjoyed hiking, swimming, skiing and ice skating. He also was an accomplished chess player.

Survivors include one son, Andree Gilmore of Seattle; one daughter, Tina Grebe of Coeur d’Alene; a brother, Walter Englert of Australia; a sister, Waltraud Garncarz of Australia; two nephews, two nieces, one grandniece and two grandnephews; and special friends, Kathleen Grebe-Montee, David Grebe and family, and Lori Gilliam and family.

Memorials may be sent to the North Idaho College Foundation for the Nursing Scholarship Fund in memory of Gary Englert, 1000 W. Garden, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.

George Reid St. John, Wash.

Service for George W. Reid, 78, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John Methodist Church. Burial service will follow at the Albion (Wash.) Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Service of Colfax, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Reid died Monday.

He was born in Pullman.

He was raised in Albion and graduated from high school there.

Mr. Reid and his wife, Maxine, farmed in Albion until they retired in 1971. They moved to Spokane and lived there for 22 years before moving to St. John about a year ago.

Mr. Reid is survived by his wife of 58 years; two daughters, Karen Willson of St. John and Janet Germain of Pullman; one son, Ted Reid of Walla Walla; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Emergency Medical Technicians or the St. John Community Building Fund.

David McKay Almira, Wash.

Service for David A. McKay, 73, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Almira (Wash.) Community Church. Burial will be at LaFollette Cemetery in Almira. Strate Funeral Home of Davenport is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McKay, who was born in Spokane, died Sunday.

He farmed and raised cattle in the Almira area.

Mr. McKay served in the Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War.

He was a member of Almira American Legion, Wilbur Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Washington State Cattlemen’s Association.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Claire; four daughters, Colleen Wells of Olympia, Celia Hatch of Spokane, Connie McKay of Grand Coulee and Julie McIntosh of Spokane; three sons, Bradley McKay of Shrewsbury, N.J., and Andrew McKay and Stuart McKay, both of Almira; two brothers, Robert McKay of Spokane and William McKay of Almira; two sisters, Eileen Millikan of Almira and Doris Egbert of Los Angeles; and six grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lincoln Hospital Foundation.

Donald Webb Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Donald Webb, 52, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene.

Mr. Webb, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Sunday.

He grew up and attended schools in Post Falls. He served three years in the Army and was stationed in Germany.

He made his home in Seattle for many years and worked in a bronze foundry.

Mr. Webb retired due to injuries suffered in a car accident and returned to Coeur d’Alene in 1990.

He loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include three brothers, Robert and Jack, both of Coeur d’Alene, and Floyd of Oregon; two sisters, Barbara McPoland of Coeur d’Alene and Jo Hudson of Spokane; six nieces and six nephews.

Clifford Hagen Spokane

Graveside service for Clifford C. Hagen, 86, is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Hartland, Minn., Mr. Hagen died Sunday.

He worked for the city of Spokane Water Department for 40 years and had lived in Spokane for more than 56 years.

He was a member of the Retired City of Spokane Employees Association and Eagles Lodge 2. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

His wife, Beulah Hagen, died in 1965.

He is survived by a son, Richard Hagen of Spokane; a daughter, Pamila Deubel of Opportunity; three grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Opal Harms Spokane

Service for Opal Harms, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Harms, who was born in Rockford, died Monday.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Carl Harms, died in 1978.

She is survived by two sons, Stanley Harms and Gary Harms, and a daughter, Julie Schelling, all of Spokane; one brother, David Carlson of St. Helens, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.

Roger Abrahamson Wellpinit, Wash.

Service for Roger Kevin Abrahamson, 38, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Spokane Tribal Longhouse in Wellpinit. Burial will follow at the Hubert Cemetery in Ford, Wash. Schanzenbach Funeral Home of Chewelah, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Abrahamson died Saturday when his car veered off the road near Ford.

He was born in Spokane.

Mr. Abrahamson graduated from Wellpinit High School and worked as a carpenter.

He was a member of the Kalispel Tribe and Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors include his mother, Lorraine Abrahamson of Spokane; a son, Joseph Abrahamson of Fruitland, Wash.; a daughter, Jeannie Peone of Plummer, Idaho; a brother, Duane Abrahamson of Wellpinit; and three sisters, Loreena LaFontaine and Charlene Abrahamson, both of Ford, and Brenda Abrahamson of Seattle.

Julia Nason Spokane

Service for Julia K. Nason, 83, is planned for 1 p.m. today at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Private burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Nason died Sunday.

She was born in Spokane.

She graduated from West Valley High School.

Mrs. Nason and her husband, George, had owned the Cedar Beau Bay Resort at Loon Lake, Wash.

Her husband died in 1969.

She is survived by three brothers, Arthur Horwath and Frank Horwath, both of Spokane, and George Horwath of Cody, Wyo.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose 689 in Loon Lake and the Loon Lake Guild.

Perry McNeal Spokane

Service for Perry H. McNeal, 88, will be at 1 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home with burial at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mr. McNeal died Sunday.

He had worked as a carpenter and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.

Mr. McNeal had lived in Spokane for more than 36 years.

He was a member of Audubon Park Masonic Lodge 272, the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Rock Rollers Club and Messiah Lutheran Church.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Survivors include three grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

James LaRue Spokane

Graveside service for James E. LaRue, 72, will be at 10 a.m. today at Pines Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. LaRue died Saturday at home.

He was born in Lemon, S.D.

He was a North Central High School graduate and had worked for Peirone Produce Co., General Mills, and Inland Empire Paper Co. He retired from US West Communications in 1987.

Mr. LaRue served on a Navy Seal underwater demolition team during World War II.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Spokane Racing Pigeon Club and Spokane Archery Club.

His wife, Dorothy LaRue, died in 1980.

He is survived by a son, Jack LaRue of Tenino, Wash.; a daughter, Patricia Swift of Spangle; a brother, Jack LaRue of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
