Hail Caesar - The Dressing

Want people to praise your Caesar salads? Bury them in the Gourmet Caesar Dressing bottled by Luigi’s Italian restaurant in Spokane.

The lively mixture includes imported olive oil, red wine vinegar, Parmesan cheese, fresh garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice and a touch of anchovy paste - “just enough to marry the other ingredients,” according to Luigi’s chef and coowner Matt Pettit. Also available is a house dressing featuring three kinds of vinegar: red wine, apple cider and balsamic.

Price: $3.75 to $3.99 for an 11-ounce bottle.

Available: Luigi’s restaurants at 113 N. Bernard and 329 S. Dishman-Mica Road, and at Excell, Rosauers, and Super 1 grocery stores in Spokane.
