Shiite Muslim Office Bombed

Compiled From Wire Services

A bomb exploded Friday at the offices of a hard-line Shiite Muslim group in the disputed Kashmir territory, killing at least seven people.

The blast rocked the offices of Hizab-ul-Momineen in a part of Kashmir controlled by Pakistan, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported. It said one person was seriously injured.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack in Muzaffarabad, about 45 miles northeast of Islamabad.

The blast could be linked to feuding between rival Sunni and Shiite Muslim groups that has killed hundreds of people in the last year. Political tensions also plague Kashmir, a disputed Himalayan state divided between India and Pakistan.
