Thief’s crime spoils retirement hobby plans

This afternoon as I came home from work, I decided to unload my router table (still in its box), a metal four-shelf bookcase (still in its box), and a metal table someone donated to my retirement avocation as a woodworker enthusiast.

But while I parked the car around front and opened the gate from the inside, a thief with a real backward sense of acquiring merchandise had loaded all these things into a pink vehicle (as observed by a couple of children across the alley) and drove away with my dream.

I’ll have to work longer now to replace those items unless the thief decides to return them to me at my home on the 2600 block of West Boone, from which they were stolen. Howard Schwind Spokane
