Monday

1:30 p.m. Senate Hearing Room 1, J.A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Law & Justice Committee public hearing on House Bill 1104, ending state restrictions on the open carrying of firearms.

Tuesday

8 a.m. Senate Hearing Room 4, J.A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Human Services & Corrections Committee public hearing on House Bill 2010, a prison cost-cutting package that would eliminate some offender privileges, cut prison staff and require more prisoners to work.

8 a.m. Senate Hearing Room 1, J.A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Government Operations Committee public hearing on House Bill 1187, dividing the Department of Social and Health Services into five agencies.

Wednesday

8 a.m. Senate Hearing Room 1, J.A. Cherberg Bldg., Senate Government Operations Committee public hearing on House Bill 1903, putting additional restrictions on the ability of state agencies to write new rules.

Thursday

3:15 p.m. House Hearing Room C, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Finance Committee public hearing on Senate Bill 5000, reducing property taxes.

Friday

Friday is the deadline for bills to pass out of the committee in the opposite house. Bills in the House fiscal committees and the Senate Ways and Means committee have until next Monday.

8 a.m. House Hearing Room A, John L. O’Brien Bldg., House Law & Justice Committee public hearing on Senate Bill 5139, allowing police to impound the vehicles of persons caught patronizing prostitutes.
