Usf’s Brovelli Resigns

Jim Brovelli, the basketball coach at San Francisco since the school restored its program in 1985, resigned to become assistant athletic director.

Brovelli coached the Dons for nine years, finishing 10-19 last season.

Brovelli, 53, was in charge of rebuilding basketball at a school that won NCAA championships in 1955 and 1956.
